Las Vegas (KSNV) -- About 17 acres of property next to the Boulevard Mall in Las Vegas will become a new shopping center, according to developers.

Remington Nevada said in a statement the property is at the corner of Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road.

It will be renamed The Boulevard Plaza, with the redevelopment of the former Sears location and development of nearby vacant land.

Several stores will be built from the ground up, according to Remington, with four stores along Maryland Parkway and in-line shops next to the former Sears building.

Remington has not disclosed what it will develop at the former Sears location.
